The ASU Zai Xian (AZX) program is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our innovative team. This role is pivotal in enhancing student engagement, supporting marketing initiatives, and leveraging data insights to improve retention within our online education model for working professionals in China. The ideal candidate will lead engagement strategies, design retention initiatives, and host key events, such as graduation activities, while fostering a strong sense of community.

ASU Zai Xian (AZX) Program - In a collaborative partnership with Cintana Education, ASU is providing access for working professionals in China by meticulously developing master's degree programs in Mandarin Chinese, and facilitating their delivery via online platform.

Essential Duties:

  • Design and implement comprehensive engagement initiatives that enrich the student experience throughout the entire journey, from admission to graduation, fostering a strong sense of global community and promoting cross-cultural understanding.
  • Leverage data insights to identify engagement gaps, analyze retention trends, and develop targeted strategies to improve student satisfaction and retention rates across the program.
  • Act as the primary host and leader for all graduation activities, ensuring the planning and execution of memorable events that celebrate student achievements and strengthen program pride.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance program visibility through creative campaigns, event promotion, and tailored content that resonates with the diverse AZX audience.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the student advisory board, providing timely and consistent support in Mandarin Chinese while addressing their unique needs and ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Partner with the billing team to streamline processes and resolve inquiries efficiently, while also supporting success coaches in China by addressing daily questions and maintaining updated reference materials.
  • Establish and maintain a robust student and alumni network by organizing peer-to-peer sessions, mentorship opportunities, and collaborative activities that encourage connections and lasting relationships.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the China-based team to address emerging challenges and support program improvements.
  • Assumes or coordinates other duties or projects as assigned or directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Evidence of a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Native or High proficiency in written and spoken Chinese.
  • Proven ability in planning, organizing, and executing events that foster community engagement and cultural exchange.
  • Proven experience in thriving within fast-paced, ever-changing environments. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to devise and implement engagement strategies that cater to the evolving needs of a diverse student body and align with the program's broader objectives.
  • Superior problem-solving skills with a creative and efficient approach to resolving issues.
  • Evidence of strong attention to detail. Skill in compiling data, maintaining records, and summarizing information into reports.
  • Experience in Higher Education and Student Services.
  • Experience working across time zones.

Working Environment:

Dreamscape Learn (DSL) is a collaborative venture between Dreamscape Immersive and Arizona State University, merging the most advanced experiential pedagogy with the entertainment industry’s best cinematic storytelling to deliver unique virtual reality (VR) and 2D labs and full course experiences which are demonstrably efficacious, readily scalable and emotionally engaging.  These VR labs combine the emotional power of Hollywood storytelling, the visceral excitement of theme park rides, and an extraordinary mix of full body tracking and interactivity to create stories and worlds that push the limits of what is possible in virtual reality.

We are seeking a highly motivated, tech-savvy and detail-oriented student worker to join our team as a Project Assistant. In this role, you will support our daily operations, focusing on task organization, customer service, data management, and document handling. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, familiarity with coding and automation tools, and foundational knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help enhance team efficiency. This position requires adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The target wage for this position is $17.80 per hour.

Essential Duties:

  • Administrative Duties (50%):
    • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce CRM, manage email correspondence, address inquiries, and resolve issues efficiently to ensure smooth communication.
    • Organize and track project tasks to support effective project planning and tracking.
    • Coordinate and schedule meetings using Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar.
    • Manage documents, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Create visual assets using tools like Canva to support team projects and presentations.
  • Analytical and Data Support (30%):
    • Collaborate on data projects using Google Sheets, Google Collab, and Looker Studio.
    • Assist in creating and managing data dashboards in Looker Studio for data-driven insights.
  • Automation and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Integration (20%):
    • Collaborate on Automation Projects: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation solutions, utilizing Python, SQL, and AWS Cloud technologies (including S3, Lambda, and Glue) to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
    • Data Integration and Management: Use AWS Glue for seamless data ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring consistent data flow across systems.
    • Collaboration and Reporting: Partner with stakeholders to identify process bottlenecks and provide automation-driven solutions, delivering regular status updates and reports to ensure alignment with business goals.
    • Process Optimization: Leverage automation tools to streamline data processing, system integration, and task automation, reducing manual effort and minimizing error rates.

  • Currently enrolled as a student in a relevant field (e.g., Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration).
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in development work, such as creating or improving automation tools, workflows, or scripts.
  • At least 1 year of experience managing high-level administrative tasks, such as coordinating project timelines, preparing detailed reports, or streamlining operations.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Calendar, Google Collab) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM or similar CRM software is a plus.
  • Experience with Looker Studio or other visualization tools for creating and analyzing data dashboards.
  • Basic knowledge of AWS services and experience with automation tools is highly preferred.

We’re seeking an Assistant Curriculum Designer to support the development of final, polished curriculum documents, including accessibility interventions, citations, and organizational tracking documentation. This position will be directed by the Director of Curriculum Design for Dreamscape Learn and Senior Curriculum Designers.

The target wage for this position is $17.40 per hour.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop or review learning materials and learning goals across multiple media formats (i.e., written, audiovisual), including but not limited to:
    • Create and maintain tracking spreadsheets for curricular elements including figures, images, and tables according to an established numbering system.
    • Format internal review documents.
    • Use EdPlus AI tools to generate content, including alt text and other items as requested.
    • Contribute to the graphic design vision of final curriculum documents.
    • Assist with other accessibility and copyright tasks as requested.
  • Additional materials to develop or review include study guides, glossaries, media banks, captions, worked examples, tutorials, and other supporting material for use with Dreamscape Learn educational products.
  • Assumes or coordinates other duties or projects as assigned or directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Duties are highly technical and/or complex and involve a significant degree of responsibility and judgment. This classification is limited to teaching/research aide type work or those positions requiring highly specialized skills and/or technical knowledge.
