The EdPlus story: Innovative technology for learning

To support the vision of ASU, EdPlus reimagines what learning and student success can look like through advancement in experiential, narrative-driven and adaptive pedagogy, namely Dreamscape Learn and NeoBio. These new approaches to learning biology and life sciences go beyond traditional curricula, representing a leap forward in educational innovation. 

The EdPlus Lookbook, “The Story of EdPlus at Arizona State University: Designed to Innovate for Impact,” unveils how EdPlus ignites students’ imaginations and adapts education to their needs, while breaking barriers for anyone to succeed in STEM. 

STEM experiences: Pushing beyond conventional learning

STEM-related fields offer in-demand jobs with financial security and the chance for people to make meaningful impacts on society. To give access to these opportunities along with the necessary training, ASU has pioneered the online delivery of over 20 undergraduate STEM degree programs, while EdPlus reimagines how students engage with content. Through online degrees and innovative learning technologies, more students can excel academically and create a better life building a career where they can help change the world.

Dreamscape Learn: VR-enhanced learning for academic success

At ASU, course content enters new realms, centered on student engagement shaped by technology in a completely new way. Dreamscape Learn, a collaboration between Dreamscape Immersive and ASU, creates these high-engagement experiences using virtual reality and 2D lab experiences shaped around exploration and storytelling. Through Dreamscape Learn, students become scientists transported to a fantastical world where they learn complex concepts following a rigorous curriculum of discovery and problem-solving. 

NeoBio: Biology education reinvented 

NeoBio is a transformational new way of learning biological sciences online. NeoBio learning experiences were designed to provide anyone, from any location, skills-based lessons and personalized tools for pursuing a future contributing to society. To prepare students for a career in STEM, these degree programs aren’t limited to textbooks and lectures; students investigate biological processes collaborating with classmates, use dissection at-home lab kits and progress in the course through an adaptive platform designed to meet individual needs.
